In Rainbows
This experience works best in Google Chrome.

I’m drinking tea when the rainbows break my left eye,

starbursts kicking off every light. Chamomile, but

I dumped it, no evidence of magic swirled down the drain.

Two optometrists, a doctor and a grand later,

no diagnosis, no treatment, just vibes.

Florescent fireworks and streetlight kaleidoscopes.

We walk hands in pockets around Lake Michigan.

Maybe you took too much acid.

I say it’s just the one eye, but she’s bored with it now.

We slide into past lives, and I tell her about my weed guy

in college. He’d only fuck to Radiohead.

OK Computer?

In Rainbows.

Just terrible.

On vinyl.

My god.

But she doesn’t know the half of it.

He’s arrested for beating up a cop, stealing his car,

but who can resist those flashing reds and blues?

Light leaps off the lighthouse window.

Colors slice through the clouds.

A rainbow, she says.

Finally...

...you see it too.

Thank you for reading.
